Cynthia McMillion brings to Disrupt Management extensive property management experience. McMillion started her career as a leasing professional and worked her way up to a Senior Vice President for a Real Estate Investment Trust running the West Division. She worked for MAA for over 20 years and managed over 65 properties with over 25,000 units. During her time at MAA managed new construction, community renovations with value-add, Class A, B, and C communities.
Her responsibilities were the total operations of the West Division, which encompassed marketing, supervising pricing, creating strong onsite teams, overseeing capital projects, directing landscaping projects and ensuring that efficiencies were created at the property level. While working for MAA, she was the Chairman of the Board for Open Arms. Open Arms was an internal charity that provided an apartment home for people in medical crisis. She was also the recipient of many awards including the Leadership Award and Humanitarian award.
